Men’s Friday Breakfast & Lectionary Study Group
Life and faith are nurtured at St. John’s by participating in a small group. Our groups reflect the diversity of spiritual practices and fellowship that deepen relationship with God and with each other. Some of our groups study a book together, some meet at a cafe for coffee, others have breakfast for fellowship and discussion at various restaurants and others knit and catch up all at the same time.
 
Small Groups gather almost each day of the week. Try one, try a few. You will be most welcome. Check the St. John's calendar for the most up to date schedule.

 Monday-Friday

Monday
  • 9:30 a.m. - Al-Anon Meeting, Café
  • 1:30 p.m. - Vestry External Ministry Support, Cafe, 2nd Monday

Tuesday
  • 1 p.m. Daughters of the King (DOK) 1st & 3rd Tuesdays in the Youth Center
  • 1 p.m. Executive Committee (Rector, Wardens & Treasurer), Youth Center - first Tuesday of the month
  • 2:30 p.m. Contemplative Living Group, Cafe (contact Charmion Burns)
  • 7 p.m. Vestry Meeting, ZOOM https://us04web.zoom.us/j/124004274 , 4th Tuesday evening 
 
Wednesday
  • 10 a.m. Worship Committee, 1st Wednesday in the Youth Center
  • 12:30 p.m. Small Group Recorder practice - Nursery
  • 12 noon, Episcopal Church Women (ECW). Cafe/ Back Patio, 3rd Wednesday, noon potluck & 1 p.m. program. (Contact Barbara Raney )
  • 1 p.m. - St. John's Choir Practice, Sanctuary - Contact: Andrew Carter, Director of Music Ministries (on hiatus in the summer)  

Thursday
  • 9:15 a.m. Old Gaffers Men’s Group on ZOOM (contact John Duncan)
  • 10-11:30 a.m. Vestry Admin Team, 4th Thursday on ZOOM
  • 12:30 p.m. Playful Prayer on ZOOM–  (contact Janet Duncan)
  • 1-3 p.m. Tremolos meet select Thursdays (Community choir for people with Parkinson's & their supporters), Sanctuary
  • 7-9 p.m. - Outreach Committee Meeting, Youth Center - fourth Thursday of the month
 
Friday
  • 8 a.m. Men’s Breakfast & Lectionary Study Group (contact Tom Butler) - Southpoint Restaurant.
  • 8 a.m. Women’s Breakfast and Gospel (contact Cindy Phillips), Capitola Diner
  • 10:30 a.m. Chime Choir rehearsal (on hiatus during the summer)
  • 12 p.m. Noonday Prayer, Sanctuary (contact: Alliee DeArmond)
  • 12 p.m. Finance Committee, ZOOM, Monthly on the Friday before the Vestry meeting.

Sunday
  • 12 p.m. Vestry Internal Support Team, Nursery, Monthly on the Sunday before the Vestry meeting.
