2022 Bishop's Visit
Here is the info on the May 31st service of Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation of Baptismal Vows with Bishop Lucinda.
We will celebrate these people who will be confirmed, received, or make a reaffirmation of their baptismal vows:
Confirmation
Jill Talvensaari
Jill is new to the area, having recently moved to La Selva Beach from "over the hill," where she had previously been active at St. Bede's in Menlo Park and Christ Church in Los Altos. Although she grew up in the Episcopal Church and was baptized as a baby, she was never confirmed as an adult, so she's doing that now!
Reception
Judy Verbeck
Judy has been part of St. John's community for many years but had never been formally received into the Episcopal Church; she was baptized and confirmed in the Roman Catholic Church.

Lise, Nancy, and Sarah were all confirmed in the Episcopal Church, but are returning to church after some time of inactivity and wanted to formally reaffirm their baptismal vows. (They transferred their membership to St. John's from the last Episcopal parishes where they were active.)
Sherrie and Nelson were sponsors for some of the new folks taking the "I Will, With God's Help" class last summer (Sherrie to Lise and Nelson to Jill and Nancy) and decided after completing the class that they would also like to formally reaffirm their baptismal vows as well. (This often happens with sponsors in the "I Will, With God's Help" class! :)
