Children and Youth: Growing in Faith

Faith is a gift from God. Faith is not an achievement, or something to be earned. It is a seed that is planted in each person’s heart. In community we water, tend, and cultivate faith. Our children and youth need to know that they can count on God’s love. A child trusts without reflecting. Children cannot live without trusting those around them. Their trust is not a virtue; it is a vital reality. Our children and youth ministries nurture trust in God, friendship with Jesus and wonder and awe in the holiness of Spirit in themselves, others and all of creation.
